Orcas are a fascinating animal, I’ve always have loved watching them in their pods. Dreams about them can mean a lot to many cultures. One that has stuck is they live for the future and don’t care so much about the present. That if you dream of them, your soul is thinking about moving you from your past to the present. This cherry cutting board is another Boyd family creation. Yes I said cutting board. Just flip it over to do your cutting, hand wash and present the front for everyone to see. This cherry cutting board measures right around 8 3/4 x 12 3/4inches.

How about owning a piece of artwork from the Blue Ridge Mountains here in Virginia? These cutting boards are handmade here in the mountains by a local artist and I Woodburn the designs onto each board. These beautiful items are made out of Chestnut, Walnut, Maple, Cherry, and Oak. Each of these cutting boards, is unique to its self and a piece of Operative Art! Yes these are cutting boards! Just flip the board over and use as a cutting board. Each one of these has been hand drawn and then wood burned. The cheese/cutting boards are all different sizes. These are one of a kind pieces of art, with the drawings and the size!

After I am done with wood burning the item, I treat them with mineral oil so they do not crack and all of our wood burned items, come with instructions on how to care for them. Each one I do is different in its own way. I free hand all my work so there will be differences in each piece of art. I do not use a stencil on any of my work. These bowls will dress up any table while entertaining guests.
